Media Advisory - New leadership and breakthrough therapeutics are focus of two-day conference on biotechnology, life sciences and specialty pharmaceuticals

    NEW YORK, April 4 /CNW/ - Executives from more than 80 public and private
healthcare companies, along with physicians, investors, and analysts are
attending the CIBC World Markets Annual Biotechnology and Specialty
Pharmaceuticals Conference, April 11-12, 2007, at New York's Millennium
Broadway Hotel.
    The highly anticipated conference will feature key insights into recent
developments in oncology, cardiovascular, auto-immune disorders, CNS/pain and
infectious diseases from leading mid and small cap companies in biotechnology,
life sciences and specialty pharmaceuticals. There will also be a panel
discussion on the diabetes and obesity epidemic, with leading authorities in
the field: F. Xavier Pi-Sunyer, MD, MPH; Stephen B. Richardson, F.A.C.P.,
F.RC.P; and Jay S. Skyler, MD, MACP. The panel discussion will focus on new
and current treatments of type 2 diabetes, as well as the overall landscape
