CIBC opens new Calgary branch

    CALGARY, July 21 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC (CM: TSX;NYSE) opens the doors to a
new 7,300 square-foot full-service branch in Calgary at the corner of 130th
Avenue and 50th Street in the Shepard Regional Centre.
    "CIBC's newest location in Calgary will allow us to better serve our
clients and demonstrates our commitment to meeting the financial needs of this
thriving community," said Wendy Slavin, Senior Vice President of Western
Canada, CIBC Retail Markets. "The investment CIBC is making in Calgary allows
us to provide our clients with greater flexibility, access and choice."
    The new branch will be open six days a week and offers clients extended
operating hours:Monday - Wednesday:   9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Thursday - Friday:    9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    Saturday:             9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.The branch features three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs), including
one that is fully accessible, as well as a drive thru ABM.
    Since October 2007, CIBC has announced five new branches to open in
Alberta over the next two years. These new branch openings represent a major
investment in the province and are part of CIBC's strategic plan to build,
relocate and renovate over 70 branches across Canada by 2011.
