CIBC rated Canada's Best Consumer Internet Bank and Best Online Consumer Credit Site by Global Finance magazine
Global Finance's 9th annual World's Best Internet Banks in North America
    competitionTORONTO, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX;NYSE) is the "Best Consumer
Internet Bank" in Canada and has the "Best Online Consumer Credit Site" in
North America, according to Global Finance magazine in its 9th annual "World's
Best Internet Banks" competition.
    CIBC was selected for these awards based on the strength of its strategy
for attracting and serving online clients; success in getting clients to use
web offerings; growth of online client base; breadth of product offerings;
evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives; and web site
design and functionality.

ranking in Canada by Global Finance clearly reflects our focus and investment

    This is the second time this year that the quality of CIBC's public
website has been recognized. In April, www.cibc.com received the highest score
in an independent competitive site assessment by Forrester Research Inc of the
public websites of Canada's seven largest banks and credit unions. CIBC topped
Forrester's rankings for the website's strong presentation and for having a
leading credit card site for shoppers.
