CIBC celebrates the grand opening of its third new banking centre in Surrey this year with Halloween fun
Clients can enter to win a Toshiba LCD HDTV or a $1,000 GIC; $5,000
    donation to Boys and Girls Club of North Delta

SURREY, BC, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Saturday, October 31, CIBC will be celebrating the grand opening of its new 9,400 square-foot Kennedy Banking Centre located in the Nordel Annex at Scott Road and Nordel Way in west Surrey. The new CIBC Kennedy Banking Centre replaces CIBC's former location across the street and offers extended hours and service in English, Spanish, Hindi, Punjabi, Tagalog and Urdu.

Guests at the Halloween-themed event can enter to win great prizes, like a Toshiba REGZA 40" LCD HDTV or a $1,000 GIC. There will also be a barbecue, popcorn machine and a variety of fun activities for families, including a bouncy castle, mini golf, face painting and more as well as special Chinese Lion dance, Bhangra dance and Tae Kwon Do performances by local groups.

"This new, modern facility is CIBC's third new branch to open in the Surrey area this year," said Wendy Slavin, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Western Canada. "We're thrilled to celebrate our latest investment in this vibrant, thriving community with our clients."

The branch hours of operation are:

    Monday - Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Thursday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

To mark the occasion, a $5000 donation will be made to the Boys & Girls Club of North Delta. "Boys and Girls Club Community Services provide activities to help children and youth from all economic, cultural and social backgrounds discover their full potential," said Sandra Gebhardt, Executive Director, Boys and Girls Club Community Services of Delta-Richmond. "Having served North Delta for 50 years, we are pleased to join CIBC in investing in the future of our community through promoting healthy development opportunities for our youth."

The new branch is fully accessible, including four Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) all installed at wheelchair accessible height and offering headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting.
