EDMONTON, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Canadian football legend Henry 'Gizmo' Williams will help celebrate the grand opening of CIBC's new 6,100 square-foot, full-service Ellerslie and Parsons Banking Centre located at 904 Parsons Road in southeast Edmonton. Clients can bank and get financial advice six days a week at the new branch, as well as service in English, Spanish and Tagalog.

Williams will be on-site to meet fans and sign photos for guests from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests at the event can enter to win a Samsung 40" LCD TV or an HP Desktop computer, monitor and printer. There will also be pizza, popcorn and cotton candy as well as a variety of fun activities for families, including a caricaturist, face painting and more.

"We're proud to celebrate the opening of CIBC's newest Edmonton location with clients and the community," said Wendy Slavin, Senior Vice-President, CIBC Retail Markets, Western Canada. "Our clients lead busy lives and this new, six-day banking centre in southeast Edmonton will offer more of the flexibility, access and choice our clients have come to expect from CIBC."

The hours of operation are:

        Monday - Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
        Thursday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
        Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

To mark the occasion, CIBC will present a $5,000 donation to the Mill Woods Family Resource Centre, the second installment in an overall commitment of $10,000, in support of the organization's youth programs that help those 15 - 18 learn skills that will improve their success in school and everyday life. CIBC's funding will be directed to the "Count to Ten for Teens", an eight week course designed to encourage youth to deal more effectively with their anger and learn more creative ways to express themselves appropriately.

"The Mill Woods Family Resource Centre is delighted to be the recipient of this generous donation. These funds will enable us to offer more anger management programming for youth," said Shari-Lynne Gidyk, Executive Director. "I would like to give a big "Thank-you" to CIBC for this exceptional gift."

The branch is fully accessible, including three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting. Clients also have access to a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
