CIBC announces locations of three more branches to open or expand in B.C.

New branches offer clients more opportunities to bank and get trusted advice

VANCOUVER, March 10 /CNW/ - Today CIBC announced the locations of three additional full-service banking centres it will open or expand in British Columbia this year. Since the beginning of 2008, CIBC has built, relocated or expanded 11 branches in the province to offer clients greater access and choice.

"We are investing in the long-term growth of B.C. communities and in giving our clients more banking options," said Mike Stevenson, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Western Canada. "These new and expanded branches will offer our clients even greater access to banking and advice to help them achieve what matters to them."

Today's announcement includes the following B.C. locations:

- K.L.O. Road and Richter Street in Kelowna in fall 2010
      - Columbia Street and Notre Dame Drive in Kamloops in fall 2010
      - Scott Road and 73rd Avenue in Surrey in May 2010

"In addition to increasing our physical presence in the province, we are also looking for great people to join our B.C. team," added Stevenson. "We encourage exceptional candidates to visit our online career site to apply."

CIBC's new branches feature extended hours and barrier-free banking facilities, including sit-down teller stations and fully-accessible Automated Banking Machines (ABMs). Many of these branches offer service in multiple languages reflecting the diversity of the communities they serve.

With 1073 branches, CIBC clients have access to one of the largest branch networks in Canada. These B.C. branches are among 20 new or expanded locations in high growth Canadian communities CIBC announced today as part of a continued investment in enhancing the banking experience for its clients.

In addition to convenient branch hours, including evening, Saturday and Sunday hours at select locations, CIBC offers clients among the most extensive banking choices in the country with more than 3,800 ABMs and 24-hour access through telephone banking, online banking and mobile banking on iPhone. In February, CIBC became the first Canadian bank to offer a Mobile Banking app for iPhone.
