CIBC to celebrate grand opening of new Mississauga branch
  • Guests can enter to win a $1,000 GIC or an Apple prize pack
  • Presentation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of $15,000 in proceeds to date from the CIBC Pink Collection and Mississauga area pledges

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, on Saturday, September 18th, CIBC will celebrate the grand opening of its new six-day, 7,000 square-foot CIBC Britannia & Latimer Heartland Banking Centre. The larger, state-of-the-art branch replaces CIBC's existing location in the area to better serve the growing community around Mississauga's Heartland Town Centre. The new branch offers service in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Punjabi and Hindi.

Guests at the event can enter to win great prizes, including a $1,000 GIC or an Apple prize pack including a 32GB Apple iPad™ with Wi-Fi and an Apple iPod™ Touch. Families at the event can enjoy fun activities including face painters, clowns, a caricaturist, midway games and a DJ as well as a barbecue, popcorn, cotton candy and refreshments.

To mark the grand opening, CIBC will present $15,000 in proceeds from the CIBC Pink Collection and pledges to date for the Mississauga area to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. "CIBC's longstanding commitment to the Foundation and support for the Run has been instrumental in helping the Foundation make significant advancements in breast cancer research, education and advocacy," says Sandra Palmaro, CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region. "We'd like to express our thanks to CIBC for helping us create a future without breast cancer."

CIBC has a long history of contributing to causes that matter in Mississauga, having donated over $725,000 in the last five years alone to numerous local organizations including the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, the Trillium Health Centre Foundation and Hearthouse Hospice.

The new branch is barrier free with accessibility features such as a sit down teller station and four Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance.
