CIBC donates $10,000 to support Thunder Bay community

TORONTO, June 4, 2012 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) announced today it is donating $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help the community of Thunder Bay recover from the effects of recent flooding.

"We know residents of Thunder Bay have been seriously affected as a result of the recent flooding in the area," said Sylvain Vinet, Senior Vice President, Eastern Canada. "As part of the community, CIBC is committed to supporting Thunder Bay at this difficult time."

CIBC clients in Thunder Bay affected by this issue may be eligible for additional accommodation based on their individual financial circumstances.  This may include special arrangements on mortgage payments or credit products.  Please contact your local branch for more information.

All CIBC branches in Ontario are accepting donations on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross to further support those affected.
