MEDIA ADVISORY - Richmond Hill grade 10 student earns CIBC YouthvisionTM Scholarship

Recipient "pays it forward" through volunteerism.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, June 25, 2012 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX) (CM: NYSE) Grade 10 student, Shadi Mousavi Nia, will be awarded with his CIBC Youthvision Scholarship on June 28.

The Youthvision Scholarship includes up to six summer internships through the YMCA beginning right after Grade 10 and up to $4000 in tuition annually for four years. Winners also receive ongoing mentoring from either Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada or YMCA until they graduate from university or college. In addition, winners take part in a CIBC Money Smarts for Students Seminar to help her shape her financial future as she prepares to head off to college or university.

In addition to the scholarship, Shadi is also awarded The Neil Morgan Volunteer Award which is presented to the student who has made the most significant contribution to community volunteerism.
