TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) invites post-secondary students at Brock University to buckle up and play a little Human Foosball for a chance to win one of five prizes of $5,000 when you sign up for a CIBC student account.
As the Official Canadian Bank of the 2014 FIFA World CupTM in Association with Visa, CIBC is challenging post-secondary students at select colleges and universities in Ontario to show their foosball skills while proudly displaying the flag colours of their FIFA World Cup favourites.
CIBC will host six-on-six human-foosball and regular table foosball events at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT.
"Inspired by the upcoming 2014 FIFA World CupTM, CIBC Human Foosball is a unique opportunity for students to show their soccer skills and engage in the spirit of such a popular and exciting game with their peers," said Veni Iozzo, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Strategy, CIBC. Students will also have the chance to engage with talented freestyle soccer players and win great prizes, including:
- Five prizes of $5,000 to help with tuition costs when signing up for a CIBC student account; and
- One of three foosball tables by using the hashtag #CIBCHUMANFOOSBALL on Twitter or Instagram.
