MEDIA ADVISORY - CIBC celebrates grand opening of new Beaumont branch with a donation to E4C

BEAUMONT, AB, May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - This Saturday, May 31, CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) will celebrate the grand opening of its new Beaumont Banking Centre with fun activities for the whole family. To mark the opening, CIBC will present a donation of $5,000 to E4C, a non-profit organization that seeks to alleviate poverty.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony: 12:30 - 1:00 p.m.

    • Cody Yano, Edmontonian and CIBC Team Next athlete, is a member of Canada's national diving team. He currently holds the Canadian men's three-metre diving title and already has two international top five finishes in his young career. Cody recently qualified for two major international competitions this summer: the 2014 World Cup in Shanghai and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

  • David Grauwiler, E4C Development Officer, will accept CIBC's donation for their Kids in the Hall Bistro Program
    • E4C's Kids in the Hall Bistro Program operates as a social enterprise helping at-risk youth between the ages of 16 and 24 gain knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in an educational or employment setting.
