Award helps youth-in-need pursue post-secondary education and gain practical work experience

YORKTON, SK, June 13, 2014 /CNW/ - On Friday, June 13, CIBC (TSX:CM) (NYSE:CM) will present Robin and her twin brother Ryan Hamilton, Grade 10 students at Yorkton Regional High School, with CIBC Youthvision™ Scholarship Awards at the CIBC branch in Yorkton.

      The CIBC Youthvision™ Scholarship Program, valued at up to $40,000 per recipient, gives Canada's youth-in-need the financial means of pursuing a college or university education. This one-of-a-kind scholarship, in partnership with the YMCA and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, provides 33 high-potential Grade 10 students with funding for tuition, dedicated mentorship and six years of paid summer internships to help them build a better future and reach their full potential.
