Two CIBC Executives Named Among Canada's Most Powerful Women

TORONTO, Nov. 26, 2014 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX) (CM: NYSE) is pleased to announce that Laura Dottori-Attanasio, Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer, and Christina Kramer, Executive Vice President, Retail Distribution and Channel Strategy, have been named recipients of the prestigious Women's Executive Network's (WXN) 2014 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards.

"Laura and Christina are two very talented leaders who have consistently achieved great results for our clients and shareholders," said Victor Dodig, President and CEO, CIBC. "We are so proud to have such committed and capable leaders at our Bank. They are role models to our team members, to their colleagues and in our community."

This is Laura's third time receiving the Top 100 Award which celebrates and highlights the professional achievements of women across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Winners are selected based on their innovative and strategic vision, their organization's financial performance, and their commitment to their employees and communities.

And after four years of recognition, Christina has been inducted into the WXN Hall of Fame. This acknowledgment not only honours Christina's diverse contributions and exemplary leadership, but is also a testament to her continued commitment to the client and employee experience.

Jackie Moss, recently appointed CIBC's Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Corporate Development, has previously been honoured as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women.

"Despite ever-changing styles and tastes, great leadership is timeless," says WXN founder, Pamela Jeffery. "Top 100 Award Winners are a testament to the incredible range of female talent and leadership in Canada and proof that change is happening, with more women earning a place at the highest levels of Canadian organizations."

The 100 honorees will be honoured at an awards dinner tomorrow in Toronto. A complete list of recipients can be found on the Women's Executive Network website.
