TORONTO, Aug. 30 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - CIBC World Markets will
bring together senior management from more than 40 major Canadian income funds
to speak to an audience of institutional investors at its 2007 Fall Income
Fund Conference, held September 5 - 6, 2007 at the InterContinental Centre in
Toronto.
    This year's conference will have a new format designed to be more dynamic
and have greater impact for investors. It will feature three types of
presentations: interactive fireside chats; traditional presentations; and
panel discussions.
    The interactive fireside chats and traditional presentations will be
delivered via two concurrent streams of 25-minute presentations from senior
executives from nearly 40 Business Income Funds. There will be three 45-minute
industry-focused panel discussions: Industrial and Materials; Large Cap
Issues; and Restaurants, from a dozen leading Canadian funds. These
presentations will provide investors with key insight and perspective on
individual funds and the overall outlook for the market.
    The conference will also feature a keynote presentation from Jeff Rubin,
Chief Economist and Chief Strategist with CIBC World Markets, on the outlook
for the Canadian and global economies. In his presentation, called Containing
Contagion, Mr. Rubin will discuss why he sees the current market downturn as
temporary. He will also explain why he predicts the Canadian dollar will reach
parity by year-end and why the TSX will rebound to hit 15000 within the next
six months.
