CIBC expands outbound Telephone Banking capabilities in Montreal to better serve clients in both French and English
Adding 90 new outbound call centre jobs in downtown Montreal MONTREAL, April 24 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX;NYSE) is adding 90 new financial service jobs to its Telephone Banking outbound calling team in Montreal in May 2008. This expansion will enable CIBC to significantly increase its servicing capability to CIBC clients across Canada in both French and English to welcome them to CIBC and to talk about their banking needs. "The new staff in Montreal will allow us to almost double the number of calls to our clients to ensure they are getting the best service possible from CIBC," said Janice Wagner, CIBC's Senior Vice-President for Telephone Banking. By speaking to a CIBC Telephone Banking Financial Services Representative, clients can open new accounts, purchase GIC and RRSP products or contribute to existing RRSPs, apply for mortgages, CIBC credit cards, a personal line of credit or re-order personalized cheques. "We have had a good response to these new employment opportunities so far," added Wagner. "Later this year we will be consolidating our newly expanded team into one downtown location." CIBC clients can also do their banking conveniently and securely by telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CIBC's Telephone banking system features an award-winning Interactive Voice Response system. Service is available in English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin.
