VAUGHAN, ON, April 28 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC opens the doors to a new
8,500 square-foot full-service branch in Vaughan at the corner of Jane Street
and Norwood. The new larger branch in the Maple community replaces CIBC's
location at Keele Street and Major Mackenzie Drive.
    "Our new Vaughan branch provides CIBC clients with a larger, modern,
full-service facility where they can access our full range of products and
advisory services," said Larry Tomei, Senior Vice President, CIBC Retail
Markets, Central Ontario. "CIBC is making a significant investment in this
growing community to provide clients with greater flexibility, access and
choice."
    The new branch will be open six days a week and offers clients extended
operating hours, as well as service in English, Italian, Portuguese, Albanian,
Punjabi and Urdu.The hours of operation are:

    Monday - Wednesday:      9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Thursday - Friday:       9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    Saturday:                9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.The new Vaughan branch is approximately double the size of the previous
location and is located in a stand alone building. It will feature five
Automated Banking Machines (ABMs), including a drive-thru ABM.
    As previously announced, CIBC will open two additional full-service
branches in Vaughan; at Centre Street and Bathurst Street this fall and at
Major Mackenzie Drive and Dufferin Street in the winter of 2009.
    These new branches are part of CIBC's strategic plan to build, relocate
and expand over 70 new branches across Canada by 2011.
