CIBC opens new Milton branch

    Seven-day, full-service banking arrives in Milton

    MILTON, ON, June 23 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC (CM: TSX;NYSE) opens the doors to
a new 8,400 square-foot full-service branch in Milton at the corner of Steeles
and Thompson Roads. The new branch is open seven days a week - a first for
Milton.

Our new branch offers CIBC clients in Milton access to our full range of
banking services and advisory solutions in a large modern facility," said

providing greater access, flexibility and choice for our clients."
    The Milton branch offers clients extended operating hours, as well as
service in English, French, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese,
Polish and Russian.The hours of operation are:

    Monday - Wednesday:   9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Thursday - Friday:    9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    Saturday:             9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Sunday:               noon - 4 p.m.The branch is fully accessible and features three Automated Banking
Machines (ABMs), as well as a drive-thru ABM. One of these ABMs meets
access-for-all requirements with headphone jacks for audio access, grab bars
for persons with mobility impairments and improved lighting to assist seniors
and partially-sighted clients.
    This is CIBC's second location to open in Milton. CIBC currently has a
branch at 147 Main Street East. A third branch is scheduled to open in Milton
in the spring of 2009. These new branch openings represent a major investment
in the city and are part of CIBC's strategic plan to build, relocate and
expand over 70 branches across Canada by 2011.
