CIBC celebrates new Calgary branch with family fun day

    CIBC donates $50,000 to Big Brothers and Big Sisters Recreation
    Mentorship Program

    CALGARY, Sept. 13 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC celebrates the grand opening of its
new 7,300 square-foot full-service branch in Calgary at 130th Avenue and 50th
Street SE at South Trail Crossing.
    "We are thrilled to be growing along with Calgary and look forward to
continuing to meet the financial needs of our clients in this vibrant
community," said Wendy Slavin, Senior Vice-President, CIBC Retail Markets,
Western Canada. "This new location places CIBC close to where our clients
live, work and shop."
    In addition to this new branch, CIBC has recently announced four
additional branch locations to open in Calgary by 2010 at Northmount Drive and
4th Street NW in Thorncliffe, 17th Avenue and 85th Street SW, Sarcee Trail and
112th Avenue and Anderson Road and Bonaventure Drive.
    The 130th and 50th Street SE location is barrier-free and features four
Automated Banking Machines (ABMs), including a drive-thru ABM, offering a
convenient option for the area's rapidly expanding residential population.
    The new branch, which offers clients a full range of financial products
and advisory solutions, will be open six days a week with extended hours on
Thursdays and Fridays.The hours of operation are:

      Monday - Wednesday:   9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
      Thursday - Friday:    9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
      Saturday:             9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.To mark the opening, CIBC is making a $50,000 donation to Big Brothers
and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area in support of a Recreation Mentorship
Program, which combines sports and recreation activities with mentoring.
    This is CIBC's 27th location to open in Calgary. CIBC clients will also
soon be able to bank at the new and larger Thorncliffe location, which opens
October 6, 2008 at Northmount Drive and 4th Street NW replacing the current
CIBC branch at 5609 4th Street NW.
    These new branches are part of CIBC's strategic plan to build, relocate
and expand over 70 branches by 2011. CIBC clients also benefit from access to
more than 3,700 automated bank machines, 24/7 service over the phone and on
Canada's leading online banking site, www.cibc.com.
