CIBC encourages Canadians to "Think Pink"
Sign up for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure TORONTO, Sept. 15 /CNW/ - In communities large and small across Canada this week, CIBC employees are getting their pink on to show their passion for creating a future without breast cancer, a disease that affects not only those diagnosed with it, but friends, family and the community at large. This is "Think Pink Week" at CIBC, a nation-wide promotional week held each year in mid-September to raise awareness for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. CIBC celebrates the volunteer spirit of its employees with fundraising events and activities encouraging Canadians to participate in the Run or to make a donation. Visit www.cbcf.org to register or for more information. For example, in downtown Charlottetown, PEI, businesses are joining CIBC branch employees in decorating storefronts in pink. In Manitoba, members of the Brandon Wheat Kings hockey team and CIBC employees will join forces again this year to promote the Run in their community. CIBC employees in Calgary, AB, Simcoe, ON, and Castlegar, BC, and other cities are hosting fundraising bake sales, fashion shows and silent auctions.
