    VANCOUVER, Feb. 12 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - More than 20 of
Canada's leading clean energy developers will be in Vancouver on February 18
to share their business plans with investors at a CIBC World Markets
conference.
    "Clean and renewable energy projects are becoming increasingly important
as governments across North America adopt plans to reduce dependency on fossil
fuels to combat climate change and create greater energy independence," says
David Williams, the head of the power and utilities group at CIBC World
Markets. "A number of the firms speaking at our conference have recently
signed exciting new deals in both Canada and the U.S."
    The conference will feature panel sessions on four clean energy market
sectors: solar, geothermal, wind and bioenergy. It will also feature 11
presentations from individual developers (presenting companies listed below)
and a keynote address on the global and Canadian economies by CIBC World
Markets, Chief Economist, Jeff Rubin.
