expanded, full-service banking centres set to reopen this summer. These
improved, state-of-the art banking facilities are part of CIBC's five-year
strategic plan to build, relocate and expand over 70 new branches.

    The five expanded branches announced today will reopen in the following
locations:Alberta
    -   Crowfoot Village in Calgary in summer 2009
    -   Westhills and Bow Trail in Calgary in summer 2009
    -   Bow Valley Square in Calgary in summer 2009
    -   2318 Centre Street North in Calgary in summer 2009
    -   1020 Sherwood Drive in Edmonton in summer 2009 - Will reopen with
