CIBC celebrates grand opening of new Quebec City branch with $5,000 donation to l'Association des personnes handicapées de Charlesbourg
Famed professional hockey head coach Michel Bergeron to sign autographs; clients can win one of two Nintendo Wii console systemsQUEBEC CITY, May 23 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC celebrates the opening of its new 578 square-metre full-service branch on the northwest corner of Boulevard Lebourgneuf and Boulevard des Gradins in Quebec City. The larger, state-of-the-art branch replaces CIBC's Charlesbourg location at 4250 1ère Avenue. To mark the occasion, CIBC will be making a $5,000 donation to l'Association des personnes handicapées de Charlesbourg. L'Association has been serving the community of Charlesbourg for more than 30 years. Through supervised activities, the organization offers support to the families of individuals with physical, intellectual or mental disabilities, from ages 18 to 80. Former professional hockey head coach and well known hockey analyst Michel Bergeron will be on site throughout the day to meet with fans and sign autographs. Clients also have the chance to win one of two Nintendo Wii console systems or one of five $250 IGA gift cards and there will be a variety of fun activities for families including an airbrush tattoo artist, bouncy castle and more. "Health is one of the pillars of our community investment program at CIBC and we are happy to contribute to l'Association des personnes handicapées de Charlesbourg and the families they support on the occasion of our grand opening."The new hours of operation are: Monday - Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday - Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday : 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.The new, larger branch will replace CIBC's Charlesbourg location at 4250 1ère Avenue. The branch is fully accessible, including two Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting, plus a 24-hour drive-thru ABM for added convenience. With 1058 branches, CIBC has one of the largest branch networks in Canada. This new branch is part of CIBC's five-year strategic plan to build, relocate and expand over 70 new branches across Canada to offer greater flexibility, access and choice to clients.
