CIBC celebrates grand opening of Quartier DIX30 branch with $100,000 donation to Mental Illness Foundation
Boxing champion Eric Lucas signing photos; clients can win a barbecue, Nintendo Wii and moreMONTREAL, June 6 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC celebrates the opening of its new 585 square-metre branch on Boulevard Leduc in Brossard's urban lifestyle centre, Quartier DIX30, a vast 61-hectare complex of stores, restaurants and leisure facilities. The new, full-service branch features extended hours, including evening and Saturday hours, as well as service in French, English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish and Creole. To mark the occasion, CIBC will make a donation of $100,000 to the Mental Illness Foundation, an organization dedicated to the prevention of mental illnesses. Focused on informing the public and raising awareness, the Mental Illness Foundation works to promote the early detection of mental illnesses in order to decrease human suffering as well as the social and economic tolls these illnesses can take. Montreal former world champion boxer, Eric Lucas, will also be on site to meet fans and sign photos for guests who can enter to win a Broil King barbecue, one of two Nintendo Wii console systems or a $400 spa gift certificate. There will also be a barbecue, fun activities for families and a variety of special offers and promotions for clients. "Mental illness touches the lives of so many loved ones and CIBC's contribution is a significant investment towards preventing mental illness in Quebec," said Dr. Martin Tremblay, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Quebec Mental Illness Foundation.The hours of operation are: Monday - Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday - Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday - Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.The branch is fully accessible, including three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting, plus a 24 hour drive-thru ABM for added convenience. CIBC currently has 56 branches in the Montreal area. A second new branch is scheduled to open on the South Shore in fall 2009 at Highways 15 and 30 in Candiac.
