CIBC extends six-day banking to 54 more branches across Canada
Greater flexibility for CIBC clients with Saturday hours at more than 400 branchesTORONTO, June 15 /CNW/ - CIBC today announced the addition of six-day full-service banking at an additional 54 existing branches across the country. The majority of these branches will begin offering extra hours as of Saturday, June 20, to provide clients greater flexibility, access, and choice. Today's announcement means CIBC clients will be able to bank at least six days a week at more than 400 CIBC branches located in some of the busiest shopping areas across the country. "We're continuing to extend our hours of business to give Canadians more banking options and more opportunities to talk to a CIBC financial advisor," said Christina Kramer, CIBC's Executive Vice-President of Retail Markets. "Banking Monday to Friday doesn't suit everyone's schedule. These six-day branches are in busy urban areas where our clients live, work and shop." In addition to introducing banking services on Saturdays at more branches, CIBC offers Sunday banking at 37 branches across the country. "With Saturday and Sunday banking hours at many CIBC branches, our clients have more opportunity to sit down with an advisor to talk about what's important to them," added Kramer. "CIBC's investment in expanding hours is also creating job opportunities, as we've added great people to our team in these communities." With 1058 branches, CIBC clients already have access to one of the largest branch networks in Canada. CIBC clients also benefit from access to more than 3,700 automated bank machines, and 24/7 service over the phone and on Canada's award-winning online banking site, www.cibc.com. Clients can click on Branch hours & ABMs to find out which CIBC branches in their community offer weekend and evening hours. CIBC is a leading North American financial institution with nearly 11 million personal banking and business clients. CIBC offers a full range of products and services through its comprehensive electronic banking network, branches and offices across Canada, and has offices in the United States and around the world.
