CIBC to celebrate the grand opening of new full-service Dartmouth Banking Centre
Clients can win a patio or vacation prize-pack; $10,000 donation to
    Children's Wish Foundation to mark occasionDARTMOUTH, NS, June 19 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, CIBC will celebrate the grand
opening of its new 9000 square-foot full-service branch at Dartmouth Crossing.
This new and larger branch with extended service hours replaces CIBC's Penhorn
Mall location and is conveniently located in a busy retail area where many
Halifax Regional Municipality residents do their shopping.
    Eric Crookshank, power forward for the Halifax Rainmen will be on site to
lead fans in a basketball shootout and sign autographs. Guests can enter to
win a new barbecue and eight-piece patio furniture set or a package of 25,000
Aeroplan Miles and a gift certificate for four nights at a PacRim Hospitality
Services Hotel. There will also be a variety of fun activities for the family
including an electric train ride and a barbecue catered by M&M Meats and
Nuts4Ribs.
    "We are excited to be able to provide our neighbours who live, work or
shop in the Dartmouth Crossing area with a large, state-of-the-art,
full-service banking facility where they can access CIBC's full range of
products and advisory solutions," said Terry Gardiner, Vice-President of
Atlantic Canada, CIBC Retail Markets. "With our longer branch hours, our
clients have more flexibility to fit banking into their busy schedules."
    To mark the occasion CIBC will make a $10,000 donation to the Children's
Wish Foundation which is celebrating its 25th year of granting wishes in
Canada and will surpass its 15,000th wish this year. The Children's Wish
Foundation has granted over 760 wishes in Nova Scotia and over 200 wishes in
Dartmouth and the surrounding area. Wishes can range from a play set for the
backyard to a laptop, bedroom makeover or a Disney Cruise. Each wish is
tailored to the child's needs and every effort is made to include the
immediate family members who reside with the wish child.
    "We are grateful for CIBC's ongoing support. This donation is a great way
to celebrate the magic of a wish and also provides more children in Nova
Scotia with the chance to realize one of their most heartfelt dreams," said
Cheryl Matthews, Nova Scotia Chapter Director, The Children's Wish Foundation
of Canada.
    The new branch is fully accessible, including four Automated Banking
Machines (ABMs) all installed at wheelchair accessible height and offering
headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and
brighter lighting.The hours of operation are:

        Monday - Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
        Thursday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
        Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.With 1058 branches, CIBC already has one of the largest branch networks
