MONTREAL, Oct. 16 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, CIBC will celebrate the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art, 566 square-metre Carrefour Candiac Banking Centre with Halloween-themed festivities. Located on the southwest corner of Autoroutes 15 and 30, the new branch offers financial advice and service six days a week in French, English, Dari and Hindi.

Guests at the event can enter to win a 40" Samsung LCD TV or a $1,000 GIC and the first 100 kids will receive a Halloween loot bag. More Halloween fun for families includes a DJ, bouncy castle and magic shows as well as a barbecue, snacks and refreshments.

"We're thrilled to have invested in Candiac with this new branch and to celebrate Halloween with our clients and the community," said Sylvain Vinet, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Eastern Canada. "We know our clients appreciate the convenience of being able to bank and get professional advice from us six days a week in a number of languages."

The hours of operation are:

          Monday - Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
          Wednesday - Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
          Friday - Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

To commemorate the occasion, CIBC will present a $5,000 donation to La Fraternité St-Marc, an organization dedicated to helping people from all walks of life within the Candiac community. La Fraternité gives support to those in need in a broad range of ways, from providing for basic needs such as food, clothing or paying electricity bills to furnishing school supplies or public transport tickets.

"La Fraternité St-Marc is very grateful to CIBC for this generous donation," said Louise Gauthier of La Fraternité St-Marc. "These funds will help us as we continue to provide for the needs of those less fortunate within the Candiac community."

The new branch is barrier free with accessibility features such as a sit down teller station and three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting. The branch also offers a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
