Media Advisory - 25 Years of 'Miracles' raises millions for children's charities

CIBC traders, brokers once again donate fees and commissions as CIBC Miracle Day turns 25

TORONTO, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - On December 2nd, CIBC's wholesale banking sales and trading staff and participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors will once again donate their fees and commissions to children's charities across the country as part of CIBC Miracle Day, an annual charitable event that has raised more than $50 million since it was conceived in Canada in 1984.

"Whether a hot meal to start the day, extra help with schoolwork, a place to turn to in a crisis, or the fulfillment of a child's special wish - the joint efforts of our employees and clients have helped thousands of children in need."

Funds raised on Miracle Day benefit a wide range of children's charities. In 2009, more than $4 million was distributed to over 450 charities in Canada.
