TORONTO, June 7 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX;NYSE) today announced that Larry Tomei, Senior Vice-President, CIBC Retail Markets for Central Canada, has been named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 for 2010.

Mr. Tomei has held a series of progressively senior positions at CIBC since 1994, He leads a team of more than 6,200 CIBC financial advisors and employees in nearly 470 branches.
In addition, Mr. Tomei is a strong community leader participating in a number of community initiatives including serving on the Board of the Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation.
The annual Top 40 Under 40 awards, presented by The Globe and Mail and The Caldwell Partners, recognizes the leadership, vision and achievement of Canada's young leaders.
The 12th annual Top 40 Under 40 honorees were drawn from over 1,000 nominations from across Canada and decided upon by a panel of business and community leaders. Recipients were selected based on five criteria: vision and leadership; innovation and achievement; impact; growth/development strategy; and community involvement.
