MONTREAL, July 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Pierre Bruneau, spokesman for the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, is proud to invite media representatives to the grand arrival of the cyclists taking part in the 15th Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. Montreal Mayor, Mr. Gérald Tremblay, will have the pleasure of welcoming Pierre Bruneau and the 25 cyclists and 80 ambassadors as they arrive at the Montréal Science Centre on the final day of this 600-kilometre cycling trek throughout Quebec. The arrival ceremony will also see Messrs. Tremblay and Bruneau announce the total proceeds raised by the event. Taking part in this year's event as ambassadors are Messrs. Pierre-Karl Péladeau (President and CEO of Quebecor), Pierre Dion (President and CEO of Groupe TVA) and Sébastien Delorme (actor). The organizers of this major cycling tour hope to raise more than $1,025,000 for the ongoing development of the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau and for pediatric cancer research in Quebec.

Presented from July 6 to 9, the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau is meant to reflect the cyclists' commitment to fighting pediatric cancer in Quebec. Under the theme, "This summer, it's my turn to take the Tour," our 25 cyclists departed from Rivière-du-Loup and made subsequent stops in the cities of Lévis, Trois-Rivières and Granby before returning to Montreal in the company of the 80 additional cyclists who joined them on the final day of the Tour.
