CIBC's strategic investment in growing its branch network provides clients with more opportunities to bank and access the advice they need

TORONTO, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC announced it is continuing to invest in its branch network across the country with the addition of 15 full-service banking centre locations to be opened or expanded, providing CIBC clients with more opportunities to bank and get the advice they need.

"By building new state-of-the-art banking centres and expanding or enhancing our existing locations, we are looking to better serve some of Canada's busiest, most diverse and fastest growing communities," said Christina Kramer, Executive Vice-President, CIBC Distribution Services. "CIBC is committed to providing clients with an excellent banking experience and this strategic, long-term investment in our communities will make banking even more convenient for our clients."

CIBC clients already enjoy access to one of the largest branch networks in Canada in addition to convenient branch hours, including evenings, Saturday and Sunday hours at select locations. CIBC also offers clients choice in their banking, with more than 3,800 ABMs and 24-hour access by phone, online and through mobile banking.

The 15 new or expanded branches announced today include the following locations:

British Columbia
        -  202nd Street and 88th Avenue in Langley in summer 2011
        -  Port Place in Nanaimo in winter 2011
        -  New Westminster Station in New Westminster in fall 2011
        -  Highway 10 and Highway 15 in Surrey in winter 2012

    Northwest Territories
        -  50th Street in Yellowknife in fall 2010

    Ontario
        -  Mapleview Drive and Highway 400 in Barrie in summer 2011
        -  Upper Middle and Guelph Line in Burlington in fall 2010
        -  Southdale Road and Wonderland Road in London in fall 2010
        -  Markham Rd and Bur Oak Ave in Markham fall 2010
        -  Donald Cousens Parkway and Highway 407 in Markham in fall 2011
        -  Bank Street and Queen Street in Ottawa in winter 2011
        -  Dufferin Street and Rimrock Road in Toronto in fall 2010
        -  East Liberty Street and Lynn Williams Street in Toronto in summer
