CIBC to celebrate the grand opening of new Erin Mills Town Centre branch with $10,000 donation to Heart House Hospice

Guests can enter to win a 50" Panasonic Plasma HD TV or a $1,000 GIC; Halloween fun for families

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - This Saturday, October 30th, CIBC will celebrate the grand opening of its new Mississauga branch at Eglinton Avenue West & Glen Erin Drive with Halloween fun. The new CIBC Erin Mills Town Centre Banking Centre is open seven days a week and offers banking advice and service in 17 languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, German, French, Croatian, Italian, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Danish, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic and Bangla.

Guests at the event can enter to win great prizes like a 50" Panasonic Plasma HD TV or a $1,000 GIC and families can enjoy fun Halloween activities and entertainment, including a DJ, clowns, face painters, a stilt walker and a caricaturist. There will also be pizza, snacks and refreshments. To further mark the occasion, CIBC will present a $10,000 donation to Heart House Hospice.

"This spacious new seven-day branch provides our Mississauga clients with financial service and advice in 17 languages to reflect the diversity of this vibrant neighbourhood," said Larry Tomei, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Central Canada. "We're pleased to celebrate the grand opening with our Mississauga clients and to present a donation to Heart House Hospice which provides compassionate support and palliative care to individuals and their families within the community."

Last year, Heart House Hospice provided support to over 1,000 palliative individuals ranging in age from 3 months to 102 and over 2,000 of their family members.  CIBC's $10,000 donation will help Heart House Hospice continue to provide the respite, information, support and programs needed for those who are on their end of life journey and those who love them.

"I feel privileged to work at Heart House Hospice with amazingly compassionate volunteers and staff where we are invited to be part of the end of life journey of many individuals with those who love them. CIBC has a long history of supporting Heart House Hospice over the years and this latest gift brings CIBC's giving total to over $74,000.

The branch hours of operation are:

Monday - Wednesday:    9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday - Friday:        9:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday:            9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday:    noon - 4:00 p.m.

The new branch is barrier free with accessibility features such as a sit down teller station and five Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance. The branch also offers a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
