CIBC traders, brokers once again donate fees and commissions on CIBC Miracle Day
TORONTO, Nov. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - On December 1st, CIBC's wholesale banking employees and participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors will once again donate their fees and commissions to children's charities across the country as part of CIBC Miracle Day, an annual charitable event that has raised more than $55 million in Canada since it began in 1984. Funds raised on CIBC Miracle Day benefit more than 400 children's charities in Canada.
"For more than a quarter century, CIBC Miracle Day has helped improve the lives of children in need," says Richard Nesbitt, Chairman and CEO, CIBC World Markets Inc. "Through the generosity of our clients and staff, what started with the simple belief that by working together we could make a difference has grown into one of Canada's largest single-day corporate fundraisers for children. Miracle Day is traditionally one of our busiest trading days of the year as clients large and small know their commissions go to help their favourite kid's charities."
To celebrate the 26th annual Miracle Day, CIBC's trading floors in Toronto and Montréal will be open to media.
