Conference to feature economic update by CIBC Chief Economist, Avery Shenfeld

VANCOUVER, Jan. 13 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - CIBC hosts its 14th Annual Whistler Institutional Investor Conference January 19 - 21, 2011.

Senior executives from 89 prominent North American corporations will be on hand to share their business and growth strategies with attendees of this premier conference. A number of industry sectors will be represented, including mining, oil & gas, power and utilities, forest products, technology, media & telecom and diversified.

Keynote luncheon speaker on the second day of the conference is Avery Shenfeld, Chief Economist for CIBC World Markets Inc. Mr. Shenfeld will share his latest forecast for the Canadian and global economies and discuss the impact on today's investment environment.
