CIBC to celebrate Grand Opening of state-of-the-art new Oshawa branch with family fun

Guests can enter to win great prizes including a 42" Sharp TV and a Samsung Stereo system with a Blu Ray player, or a $1,000 GIC

OSHAWA, ON, June 3, 2011 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Saturday, June 4, CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) will celebrate the grand opening of its new six-day CIBC 401 & Stevenson Banking Centre located in the city's south end. The spacious branch of nearly 10,000 square feet replaces CIBC's smaller premises in the Oshawa Shopping Centre, and offers service in English, French and Italian. To mark the opening, CIBC will present a donation to The Oshawa Hospital Foundation.

Guests at the event can enter to win great prizes like a 42" Sharp TV and a Samsung Stereo system that includes a Blu Ray player, or a $1,000 GIC, and enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers, cake, cold and warm drinks. Families can take part in fun activities and entertainment such as midway games, Mini 3 wheel cars, cultural dancing, inflatable hockey and soccer games, as well as face painting, balloon-making, caricaturists and juggling.

The branch hours of operation are:

Monday - Wednesday:    9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday - Friday:        9:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday:            9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The new branch is barrier-free with accessibility features such as four Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance. The branch also offers a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
