LONDON, ON, June 24, 2011 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) Tomorrow, on Saturday, June 25th, CIBC will celebrate the grand opening of the new 6,100 square foot CIBC Hyde Park & Fanshawe Banking Centre, the second new CIBC branch to open in London. Open six days a week, the new branch at the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Seagull Road offers extended hours as well as service in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, French and Spanish. To mark the opening, CIBC will present a $10,000 donation to the Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre.

CIBC's $10,000 donation to Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre will support a youth program that provides activities and resources to enhance employment, self-esteem, community involvement, leadership skills and a healthy lifestyle. Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre is a neighborhood-based organization that works with families and service partners in the Glen Cairn/Pond Mills community of South East London to help address issues such as poverty, hunger, unemployment, family crisis and isolation.
"To be successful, youth need support from adults who value their imagination and initiative, so that they can define their passion and realize their goals," said Barbara Schust-Lawrence, Executive Director of Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre. With CIBC's generous donation, we can together ensure that our youth continue to realize their potential."
Nickelodeon's Dora™ & Diego™ will be on-site at the grand opening event to Meet & Greet children from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy a BBQ and enter to win a BBQ Prize Pack worth over $1,000 including a Weber Genesis EP-310 Gas Grill, a Weber Premium cover and BBQ utensils. There will also be an ice cream truck and family activities including a race car game.
The new full-service branch is barrier free with features such as a sit down teller station and two Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height, with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance. The branch also offers a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
