SHERBROOKE, QC, July 6, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Actor Paul Doucet, spokesman for the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau's two-day itinerary, proudly invites media representatives to attend the departure of the cyclists taking part in the two-day trek on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS).
Mr. Robert Pouliot, deputy mayor of the city of Sherbrooke, and Ms. Patricia Gauthier, general director of the CHUS, will be on hand to welcome Mr. Doucet and the 22 experienced cyclists prior to their departure. The cyclists will then set out on a 300-kilometre trek aimed at raising funds for children with cancer. It's important to mention that on June 27 the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau announced that it was donating $1 million to the CHUS for purposes of upgrading its pediatric oncology unit.

Pairing Based on Caring
Children with cancer are the true heroes of this event. Sherbrooke-born Anthony St-François will therefore serve as the hero for the two-day itinerary. After being diagnosed with acute
lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of 4, Anthony underwent several
rounds of treatment at the CHU Sainte-Justine's Centre de cancérologie
Charles-Bruneau. Now 12, he is fully recovered from the disease.

About the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau
Presented from July 5 to 8, 2011, the 16th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau will see some 100 cyclists
join Pierre Bruneau and spokesman Paul Doucet for the 900-kilometre
trek through Quebec in support of children with cancer and their
courageous fight. On July 7 and 8, 2011, the riders taking part in the
two-day itinerary will travel to Sherbrooke, Granby and Montreal. On the last day of the Tour, riders completing each of the three
itineraries will come together for the final stretch from Brossard to
Montreal. They are expected to arrive at Montreal's Parc Maisonneuve at
