MONTREAL, July 7, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Pierre Bruneau, spokesman for the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, and actor Paul Doucet, spokesman for the two-day leg of the Tour, proudly invite media representatives to the celebrations marking the arrival of the cyclists taking part in the 16th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. Ms. Manon Barbe, the city councillor responsible for sports and leisure, will have the honour of welcoming Mrs. Bruneau and Doucet and the 150 cyclists from each leg of the Tour to Montreal's Parc Maisonneuve for the announcement of the total proceeds raised by the event. Organizers of this 900-kilometre cycling tour throughout Quebec hope to surpass last year's total of more than $1,650,000. The proceeds will go toward the development of research in pediatric oncology in Quebec.
