Celebrities and athletes on CIBC trading floor to help raise funds for kids in need
TORONTO, Dec. 5, 2011 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) - On December 7th, CIBC's wholesale banking employees and participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors will once again donate their fees and commissions to children's charities across the country as part of CIBC Miracle Day, an annual charitable event that has raised more than $60 million in Canada since it began in 1984.
"On CIBC Miracle Day, we're investing in kids," says Richard Nesbitt, Senior Executive Vice President at CIBC and Chair of the CIBC Children's Foundation. "What started with the simple belief that by working together with our clients and charities we could make a difference has now grown into one of Canada's largest single-day corporate fundraisers for children.
