Media Advisory - Local hockey hero Trevor Linden joins CIBC Wood Gundy to help kids-in-need on CIBC Miracle Day

VICTORIA, BC, Dec. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX) (CM: NYSE) On Wednesday, December 5, CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and local hockey hero Trevor Linden will present cheques to the Boys and Girls Club of Victoria, Kids Help Phone, and Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre using money raised through CIBC's Miracle Day.

Thanks to clients doing business with CIBC Wood Gundy, the Victoria branch has raised over $570,000 in the past 10 years through donating their fees and commissions.

WHY:   For the past 28 years, CIBC Miracle Day has supported and improved the quality of life for Canadian children. Whether a hot meal to start the day, extra help with schoolwork, a place to turn to in a crisis, or the fulfillment of a child's special wish - the joint efforts of CIBC employees and clients have helped thousands of children in need.
