Donations to be made to local school district and library as CIBC celebrates grand re-opening
CALGARY, Oct. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - This Saturday, October 19th, CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) will commemorate the grand re-opening of the CIBC High River branch and the rebuilding of High River with donations to the local community and fun activities for the whole family.
As members of the High River community since 1905, CIBC is proud to be back in its permanent location in the downtown area. After operating from a temporary location in recent months, the re-opening of the CIBC branch and other local businesses marks significant progress in the rebuilding of High River.
"Our team in High River looks forward to reconnecting with our neighbours in our beautifully restored branch, while continuing to offer our ongoing support to our clients and the community," said Mark Galbraith, CIBC's Alberta Region Head.
"A sense of confidence has been restored in High River," said Mr. Galbraith. "With the revival of local businesses and the restoration of our neighbourhoods underway, the strength of this community continues to be inspiring."
While High River is on the path to recovery, CIBC recognizes that many residents may still be dealing with financial challenges as a result of flood damage. Residents and local businesses are encouraged to contact their CIBC Advisor to discuss their financial situation and get personalized advice.
