Media Advisory - From Sochi 2014 with love: CIBC celebrates Canada's Paralympian Flag-bearers Sonja Gaudet and Josh Dueck at its Vernon branch

VERNON, BC, March 31, 2014 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) is proud to welcome home Gold Medallist Sonja Gaudet, the world's most decorated wheelchair curler who carried Canada's flag for the opening ceremony, and Josh Dueck, a Gold and Silver Medallist in Para-Alpine Skiing and the official flag bearer for the closing ceremony, to a community celebration on April 2 following their performances at the recent Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

Please join us at the CIBC Branch at 3201 30th Avenue in Vernon to celebrate their return. To mark their accomplishments in Sochi, CIBC will present the athletes with gold-plated coins and personalized sports pennants commemorating their participation at the Sochi Games.

The athletes will be available to speak about their experience at Sochi, their involvement with parasport and next steps in their athletic careers.
