Mobile festival brings excitement of the beautiful game to Canadian communities

TORONTO, July 4, 2014 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX:CM) (NYSE:CM) is bringing FIFA World Cup™ fever to 302 Queen St. West in downtown Toronto on Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9 with its mobile soccer festival, CIBC Soccer Nation, for the highly anticipated semi-final matches.

The media and public are invited to come out to a free event to experience the energy of the match broadcast live on the big screen. Fans, participating in the CIBC Cheer Booth, will get a free Caxirola— the official noisemaker of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. CIBC will also be giving away thunder sticks, tattoos and nine pure silver FIFA commemorative coins.

What:      The CIBC Soccer Nation Tour is a cross-country mobile soccer festival, featuring games broadcast outdoors live on the big screen along with fun activities for fans and families, including a Cheer Booth, footballing tips and demonstrations from 'Masters of Ball Control' freestyle soccer players and much more.

CIBC Soccer Nation Tour resumes in Toronto on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 for the final match-ups, starting at 11 a.m. at John St. and Front St. West.

Fans are encouraged to show love for their team via #CIBCSoccerNation and track live Fan Standings to see which country Canadians are cheering for.
