Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - CIBC to honour Canadian Paralympic Team's outstanding performances at local Welcome Home events across Canada

 

Scarborough branch hosts GTA festivities

TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2016 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) and the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) are excited to welcome home Canadian Paralympians to a community celebration following their performances at the 2016 Paralympic Summer Games in Rio.

Please join us at our CIBC Banking Centre in Scarborough as CIBC employees, clients and community members recognize the athletes' accomplishment of representing Canada on the world stage and celebrate their return. During a brief ceremony, the athletes will be honoured and presented with personalized sports pennants.

The athletes will be available to speak about their experience in Rio, their involvement with parasport and next steps in their athletic careers.

  • More than 15 Rio Paralympians, including medalist Curtis Thom
  • Francois Robert, Executive Director, Partnerships, Canadian Paralympic Committee

  • Students from Blantyre Public School
