Media Alert - Photo / Interview Opportunity - Thousands of Changemakers across Canada gear up for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 2nd

TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2016 /CNW/ - On Sunday, October 2, tens of thousands of Changemakers in 63 communities across Canada will participate in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure by joining in a 5k or 1k walk or run that raises funds for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The CIBC Run for the Cure is a trailblazing partnership between the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), CIBC and communities across Canada that is changing the face of breast cancer. This year's Run day will mark the 20th year of CIBC's partnership as title sponsor of the event. The CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single-day, volunteer-led, national event in support of breast cancer research, health education and advocacy programs.

  • Opening Ceremonies: 9:30 a.m. local time
  • 5k Start: 10 a.m. local time
  • 1k Start: 10:15 a.m. local time
  • Awards & Closing Ceremonies: 11:30 a.m. local time
