TORONTO, Feb. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) released today on the investor relations section of its website, a template of the new format for the Supplemental Financial Information Package that will be released with its first quarter results on February 22, 2018 with the adoption of IFRS 9 "Financial Instruments" (IFRS 9).

The release of this template is intended to help readers of the Bank's financial statements better understand the changes in presentation resulting from IFRS 9. The template of the Supplementary Financial Information is available for download at https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc/investor-relations/quarterly-results.html.

Changes are indicated relative to the Supplementary Financial Information Package for the fourth quarter of 2017. This template does not include financial information or any changes in content subsequent to the fourth quarter of 2017, apart from those related to IFRS 9.
